At Metfield we are very proud of our pork hampers. Our guiding ethos behind them is 'nose to tail' cookery born out of respect for the pig and an appreciation of the amazing versatility of its meat. We only produce them twice a year and try and keep some seasonality in them, so for instance our chines and brawn are flavoured with wild garlic at Easter, while at Christmas our hams take on a festive flavour due to the spicing. They reflect the wonderful heritage we have in this country of pork cookery, and so you will find they have a very British aspect. Our porky hampers are strictly on a first come first served basis as we can only produce so many pigs at a time. We really think that this is probably the only place in this country, either online or in a shop where you can find a range of products with this much variety, and of this quality (even if we do say so ourselves).

If you fancy having a go at raising your own pork pies, then you will need this little bit of kit. It's handmade for us out of ash or beech by a local wood turner. Please email us first as we need to order them and they take about a week for us to get them so it may take a couple of weeks to get it to you. Not only are they practical but they are tactile and pretty too and should look good in the kitchen.
